A-GPS
Assisted GPS (A-GPS) is a system that uses a devices built-in radios (e.g. Bluetooth, cellular and WiFi) to broadly locate the device position on Earth. This enables the device to acquire a satellite location faster by telling the GNSS radio which part of the world a device is. A-GPS is particularly useful when trying to acquire a satellite fix after the device is powered on in a new location. A-GPS data will need refreshing from time to time however most modern devices will do this automatically.
